U.S. Department of Defense

AVI BioPharma has several contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense and its agencies funding its programs, including the Company’s clinical stage programs for the Ebola, Marburg, and Junín and H1N1 viruses.

Karolinska Institutet

AVI Biopharma is currently collaborating with leading scientists at the Swedish medical university Karolinska Institutet to identify RNA-based therapeutic candidates for the treatment of Extensively Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (XDR-TB).
